The training course titled "Guidelines for Physical Activity and Exercise in Individuals with Down Syndrome" was held on May 1, 2025 (11 Ordibehesht 1404) at the Institute of Physical Education and Sport Sciences.

The course lasted 8 hours and was conducted both in-person and virtually. Its main goal was to enhance the knowledge of coaches and enthusiasts regarding sports activities for individuals with Down syndrome and to familiarize them with the principles and fundamentals of appropriate exercises for this group.
The course content included an introduction to Down syndrome and its effects, the principles and basics of exercise for individuals with this syndrome, and sports prescription. The instructors were Dr. Ali Kashi, Associate Professor at the Institute and Secretary General of Special Olympics Iran, and Dr. Sahel Hemmati, psychiatrist and Associate Professor at the University of Rehabilitation Sciences and Social Health.
Participation was open to all without prerequisites, and all attendees received a valid bilingual certificate issued by the Institute of Physical Education and Sport Sciences under the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology
