LTAD Workshop: Long-Term Athlete Development at SSRI
The specialized LTAD (Long-Term Athlete Development) workshop, focusing on scientific talent nurturing from childhood to elite levels, will be held virtually for coaches, athletes, and sports specialists on February 24, 2026 (6 Esfand 1404) for 9 hours.
Participants will learn age-appropriate training principles, competition dosing, and key variables for athlete progression across developmental stages. The LTAD model covers seven phases from birth to retirement, addressing physical, psychological, and social needs. Originally developed by Sport Canada in the early 2000s, it promotes lifelong physical activity and athlete excellence, now implemented in over 50 countries worldwide.
