Dr. Afshari, in a knowledge-enhancement session titled "Activism of the University Sports Community Regarding the Imposed War," reviewed the challenges of dispatching Iran's university sports teams during and after the imposed war.

He stated that about 16 dispatches were canceled across 11 federations within 45 days. The main reasons were embassy closures, flight restrictions, and political tensions, which prevented Iranian athletes from participating in major international competitions.
Dr. Afshari emphasized the importance of sports diplomacy, noting that the ability and willingness of the event organizing committee and host country are the most critical factors for teams' participation in international competitions. Despite extensive efforts by the National University Sports Federation, Iran's teams could not attend the 32nd Universiade due to Germany's lack of cooperation.
He also mentioned experiences of obtaining visas through third countries and using land, air, and sea routes. Supporting athletes and their families during these difficult times plays a vital role in maintaining motivation and psychological rehabilitation.
In conclusion, Dr. Afshari stressed that lessons from the war era have shown the necessity of anticipating unforeseen conditions and strengthening ongoing communication with federations and international bodies to ensure athletes' success in international events
