The 301st Research Council meeting of the Research Institute of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2024, at the institute’s premises with the presence of council members.

According to the Public Relations of the Research Institute, the meeting was attended by Dr. Fariba Mohammadi (Council Chair) and other members including Dr. Hamed Abbasi, Dr. Hossein Zareian, Dr. Mehdi Rasouli, Dr. Saleh Rafiee, Dr. Amir Shams, Dr. Habib Honari, Dr. Reza Rajabi, Dr. Hamid Rajabi, and Dr. Morteza Taheri.

During the session, various topics related to research policy were discussed, such as reviewing the process of signing internal contracts based on external projects, final approval of completed projects, and evaluation of proposals derived from research grants. Decisions were made accordingly.

At the end of the meeting, council members shared their perspectives and suggestions aimed at improving the quality of research activities and enhancing administrative processes.

It is worth noting that the Research Council, as the second policymaking body of the institute after the Board of Trustees, is responsible for formulating current policies and programs. These policies are developed in accordance with the overarching strategies approved by the Board of Trustees and other relevant authorities.
