Ministry of Science Condemns Zionist Regime’s Terrorist Attack, Vows Legal Action

In a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Science, and relayed by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, the ministry strongly condemned the terrorist attack by the Zionist regime on the consular building of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s embassy in Damascus. The attack, which resulted in the martyrdom of several Iranian military advisors, including the esteemed martyr Haj Mohammad Reza Zahedi, was described as a heinous act of aggression.

The statement began with a Quranic verse (Surah Al-Imran, 169): "Never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision." It emphasized that the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in the path of Allah, continue to live in the divine presence.

Martyr Zahedi, a devoted and selfless servant of the resistance movement, was praised for his unwavering commitment to the cause of justice and the fight against oppression. His efforts, alongside those of other martyrs, have strengthened the Islamic resistance in the region, striking fear into the hearts of the arrogant powers and the Zionist regime. The statement highlighted that his martyrdom was a testament to his exceptional character and dedication, making him a true embodiment of the Quranic phrase "men of truth" (rijalun sadaqu).

The Zionist regime, increasingly isolated and defeated in the face of the resistance front, was accused of attempting to justify its failures by directly provoking Iran. However, the statement asserted that the resistance axis, which has consistently delivered decisive responses to the regime’s aggressions, will not let this crime go unanswered. It vowed that the resistance will continue to stand strong, with new leaders rising to replace those who fall, further darkening the days of the oppressors and occupiers.

The Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology extended its condolences to the Supreme Leader, the noble Iranian nation, the comrades and families of the martyrs, and the academic community. It also announced its readiness to draft a legal complaint to be submitted to competent international courts, demanding that international legal organizations pursue the legal ramifications of this unprecedented attack on Iran’s consulate.

The statement concluded with a reaffirmation of Iran’s commitment to justice, resistance, and the pursuit of legal avenues to hold the Zionist regime accountable for its crimes. This condemnation underscores the unity of Iran’s academic and scientific community in standing against aggression and supporting the nation’s defense and resistance efforts.
