According to the Public Relations Office of the Physical Education and Sports Science Research Institute, citing the news portal of the Tehran Provincial Sports and Youth Department, a meeting was held today in the office of the Director General of the Department. The meeting was attended by Arshadi, Advisor to the Director General; deputies; representatives from Jahad Daneshgahi (Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research); Shahid Rajaei Teacher Training University; the Physical Education and Sports Science Research Institute; Afshar, Secretary of the Research Council; and members of the Council. During the meeting, Dr. Vaezi highlighted the significant efforts made by the Tehran Provincial Sports and Youth Department and stated, "Given the commendable efforts of the Department, no support will be spared for the development of research activities." He emphasized that Tehran Province serves as the forefront of the Ministry of Sports and Youth's performance, adding, "Due to its large population, Tehran Province has a significant impact across the country. However, despite its population and concentration of resources, detailed and specialized evaluations reveal that Tehran is among the less privileged provinces. Therefore, greater support and assistance from various sectors of the Tehran Provincial Sports and Youth Department are essential." Dr. Vaezi also spoke about the new management era at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, stressing, "Conducting field research and studies, in line with the emphasis of the Supreme Leader, is a fundamental requirement for management in this department, which is also a priority for the Minister." He identified one of the weaknesses in research as the lack of proper articulation of studies that can have a tangible impact on society. He added, "Utilizing completed studies and leveraging the capabilities of other research centers will be among the top priorities of this department." Arshadi, Advisor to the Director General, also addressed the Research Council meeting, stating, "The Tehran Provincial Department is committed to a qualitative approach in all areas. Accordingly, some necessary research projects will have long-term implementation guarantees, which is why the Director General emphasizes the importance of research in sports and youth affairs in Tehran Province." During the meeting, Afshar, Secretary of the Department's Research Council, presented a report on research activities, including the establishment of three memoranda of understanding with universities for sports research findings and the implementation of strategic studies and research to achieve the Department's goals. At the end of the meeting, members shared their views on future activities and were recognized for their efforts over the past year.
