Report on the Visit of Dr. Zahra Salman and Dr. Mohsen Esmaeili to the Practical Test for Sports Science Progra

According to the Public Relations Office of the Sports Science Research Institute, Dr. Zahra Salman, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Practical Test for Sports Science and President of the Research Institute, along with Dr. Mohsen Esmaeili, Executive Director of the Exam and Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, visited the University of Tehran’s test centers for both male and female candidates (with due regard for Islamic observances) on Thursday and Friday, September 8 and 9, 2023.

During the visit, Dr. Salman, Dr. Esmaeili, and their accompanying delegation met with Dr. Mehrzad Hamidi, Authorized Representative of the University of Tehran for the Exam, the representative from the National Organization for Testing and Evaluation of the National Education System, Research Institute observers, and various executive team members.

They also toured the examination halls and observed different sports evaluation stations, where they monitored the candidates’ performances in several physical assessments, including: barbell pull-ups, football and basketball dribbling, sit-ups, hurdle jumping, 4x9 meter run, medicine ball throw, and running tests.

It is noteworthy that the 2023 practical test for the Sports Science program is being held by the National Organization for Testing and Evaluation of the National Education System and the Sports Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, in collaboration with major universities across the country. This test is aimed at evaluating the performance of over 21,000 applicants from the mathematics and engineering, humanities, and experimental sciences groups who are seeking admission to the Sports Science program. The test began on Thursday, September 8, and will conclude on Saturday, September 10, 2023.
