First Boot Camp on Scientific Visibility in Sports Sciences to be Held in March
SSRII will host a Boot Camp on the Visibility of Scientific Outputs in Sports Sciences on March 14, 2025. The event will run for 8 hours and will be available both in-person at the institute and virtually.
Dr. Morteza Taheri, the Deputy Director of Policy and Planning for Research Affairs at the Ministry of Science, will lead the session, which will cover key topics such as:
• Introduction to Scientific Visibility: Defining the concept and its importance, along with the relationship between visibility and scientific authority.
• Strategies for Improving Visibility: Methods for enhancing article visibility, including the use of appropriate keywords, titles, and effective abstracts. The session will also focus on the role of media, social networks, and indexing in prominent databases like Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar.
• Scientific Writing Skills: Enhancing writing skills to boost the visibility of research outcomes.
• Indicators for Evaluating Visibility: Understanding bibliometric indicators and how to analyze the impact of visibility through citation data.
• Scientific Networking: The importance of building international collaborations and using conferences, workshops, and online platforms to expand professional networks.
• Strategic Planning for Visibility: Crafting a roadmap for increasing individual and organizational visibility in the research community.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance from the Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences upon completion.
