Message from Dr. Simayi Sarraf Regarding the Martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah
According to the Public Relations Department of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the Public Relations of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, the text of the message from Dr. Simayi Sarraf is as follows:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“And do not think those who were killed in the way of Allah are dead; rather, they are alive with their Lord, provided for.”
I extend my condolences and heartfelt sympathy on the martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of resistance, a steadfast fighter, and a beloved figure for freedom-seekers around the world. He was a symbol of courage, wisdom, idealism, and pragmatism.
The martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and several of his companions in an airstrike by Israeli fighter jets is a violation of numerous principles and rules of international law.
The Zionist regime, which faces multiple cases before the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, continues to massacre the oppressed people of Palestine and Lebanon, without regard for its international obligations stemming from humanitarian law and human rights law.
The actions of the occupying regime of Quds are not justifiable under either international humanitarian law or human rights law and constitute an international crime. While engaged in international armed conflict, this regime has violated the principle of distinction (prohibiting attacks on civilian targets and individuals) and the principles of precaution and proportionality by bombing residential buildings and martyring Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and a significant number of Lebanese civilians.
Furthermore, the Zionist regime has violated the fundamental principles of human rights by disregarding the right to life and the prohibition of extrajudicial killings in its targeted assassination of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and other defenseless citizens, committing a crime against humanity.
The United States, by providing the Zionist regime with lethal weapons (bunker buster bombs) and being aware of the intentions and actions of the occupying regime, has assisted and is internationally responsible alongside the Israeli regime.
The Zionist regime, with the support of the United States, has flagrantly violated peremptory norms of international law in the assassination of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and several other members of Hezbollah. According to international law, it is the duty of all states, nations, and international organizations to respond to such violations and confront them within the framework of international law.
The universities and academic community of our country, while strongly condemning the war crimes of this racist regime, follow the policies and guidelines of our courageous and wise leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, in response to this unprecedented barbarity.
“And victory is only from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise.”
