Inauguration of Computer Lab and Library at SSRII

In celebration of National Physical Education and Sports Week, the Sports Science Research Institute (SSRI) inaugurated its new computer lab and student library on Sunday, October 20, 2024. The event was attended by Dr. Zahra Salman (President of SSRI), Dr. Mohsen Esmaeili (Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies), Dr. Hossein Zareian (Vice President for Cultural and Social Affairs), Dr. Nazanin Rasekh (Director of Specialized Training and Graduate Studies), and a number of SSRI students.

Enhancing Research and Educational Facilities

Speaking at the event, Dr. Mohsen Esmaeili emphasized the need to upgrade existing facilities, particularly following the admission of graduate students in Motor Behavior and Exercise Physiology (research-based programs).

“Given the growing number of research-focused students, we needed to enhance our academic resources. Despite some physical limitations, we have successfully designated a dedicated space for the computer lab and student library,” he stated.

Access to Global Academic Databases

Dr. Esmaeili also announced that students will soon have access to leading international research databases, enabling them to retrieve the latest scientific articles and books for their studies. Additionally, they will be able to borrow newly acquired books from the library to support their research endeavors.

Call for Institutional Support

Highlighting the importance of expanding SSRI’s research infrastructure, Dr. Esmaeili urged the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (MSRT) and the Student Affairs Organization to provide financial and material support.

“With adequate funding, we can acquire up-to-date academic resources and offer enhanced services, ensuring that students maximize their use of these new facilities,” he concluded.
