Message by Dr. Zahra Salman on National Book Week

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful”
“Whoever finds peace with books will never be deprived of comfort.” — Imam Ali (AS)

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of National Book Week to all professors, researchers, students, and especially those active in this field.

Considering that the collective experiences of professors and specialists, accumulated over many years, are shared through the writing of various books, students and learners have the opportunity to benefit easily from their knowledge and invaluable years of experience by reading these works.

Given the numerous benefits of reading, the need to increase our reading rate and its paramount importance is evident. Students should not limit themselves to studying textbooks but should also engage in continuous reading of up-to-date internal and external resources (whether in print or digital form) in their areas of interest to enhance their knowledge.

Furthermore, human growth encompasses various dimensions, such as physical, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills. Regular reading contributes to cognitive development and strengthens brain function. I hope that parents and families, by setting a good example in reading, will foster a love for books in their children from an early age, thus witnessing the growth and flourishing of future leaders of our beloved nation.
