SSRII Hosts Strategic Meeting with National Sports Science Associations
SSRII recently held a high-level strategic meeting with representatives from several national sports science associations. Led by Dr. Fariba Mohammadi, SSRII’s interim director, the meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration and advance sports science research in the country.
Key participants included Dr. Hamed Abbasi (Acting Vice President of Research and Graduate Studies and a member of the Sports Injury and Corrective Movements Association), Dr. Hossein Zarei’an (Vice President for Cultural and Social Affairs), Dr. Habib Honari (President of the Sports Management Association), Dr. Abbas Nazarian (member of the Sports Management Association), Dr. Amir Shams (Head of the Institute for Sports and Society and member of the Motor Behavior Association), and Dr. Mohammad Shariatzadeh (Head of the Physical Activity and Fitness Studies Department).
Discussions focused on key issues such as PESRI’s support for official sports science associations, leveraging shared resources across the field, fostering collaboration among organizations, monitoring scientific advancements in sports, prioritizing research topics, and providing expert guidance to policymakers in the sports sector.
