Dr. Mostafa Afshari Appointed as Acting Head of NUSFIRI

According to the Public Relations Office of SSRII and as reported by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, Dr. Hossein Simaei officially appointed Dr. Mostafa Afshari as Acting Head of the National University Sports Federation.

Appointment Details

In the official letter addressed to Dr. Afshari, Dr. Simaei stated:

“Considering your commitment and valuable experience, and based on the recommendation of the Deputy Minister and Head of the Student Affairs Organization, and pursuant to ‘Clause 4 of Article 10 of the Federation’s Statute,’ you are hereby appointed as Acting Head of the National University Sports Federation until the General Assembly convenes to hold the federation’s presidential elections.

It is expected that, with reliance on God Almighty, you will fulfill the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the federation’s laws, policies, and approved programs.

Additionally, all processes related to the election of the federation’s president should be conducted within the stipulated timeframe under the supervision of the Head of the Student Affairs Organization.”

About Dr. Mostafa Afshari

Dr. Afshari, an associate professor at the Sports Sciences Research Institute, holds a Ph.D. in Sports Management and Planning.

His professional background includes roles such as:

• Secretary-General of the Archery Federation

• Secretary-General of the Iranian Scientific Association for Sports Management

Dr. Afshari has an extensive academic portfolio, including approximately 150 scientific works in the form of books, articles, research projects, and more, both domestically and internationally, within the field of sports management.

Acknowledgment of Former Acting Head In a separate letter,

the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology expressed gratitude to Mohammad Rasoul Khodadadi for his dedication and efforts during his tenure as Acting Head of the National University Sports Federation.
