Dr. Mostafa Afshari Introduced as Acting Head of N.U.S.F.I.R.I

According to SSRIIand the NUSFIRI’s information portal, the introduction ceremony for Dr. Mostafa Afshari as Acting Head of the National University Sports Federation was held with the presence of Dr. Saeed Habiba, Deputy Minister of Science and Head of the Student Affairs Organization; Dr. Allahyari, Deputy for Support and Resource Management; Dr. Daneshian, Deputy for Domestic Student Affairs; Dr. Zarei, Director General of Physical Education; and Mr. Mohseni, Advisor to the President and Director General of Security Affairs and Affiliated Institutions.

Dr. Afshari: “Youthful Leadership Reflects Organizational Commitment to Sports”

In his remarks, Dr. Afshari expressed gratitude for the trust and support extended to him by the Minister of Science and the Head of the Student Affairs Organization.

He highlighted that the appointment of young leaders in the Sports Sciences Research Institute and the Directorate General of Physical Education underscores the organization’s dedication to sports as a strategic priority.

The Acting Head emphasized that the organization aims to promote vitality, dynamism, and the flourishing of sports within the university community. To achieve these overarching goals, he announced a multi-faceted plan targeting structural reforms, process optimization, and development strategies across short, medium, and long-term timelines, which will be implemented with the collaboration of his colleagues. Key Objectives: Justice, Vitality, and National Identity Dr. Afshari underlined the importance of synergy among the National University Sports Federation, the Directorate General of Physical Education, and the Sports Sciences Research Institute.

He stressed that a program-centric approach is pivotal, noting that the federation’s primary objectives include achieving distributive and gender justice, fostering vitality and joy, and revitalizing the federation’s national and international identity in university sports.

He added, “With the cooperation of all sectors, we aim to create a space that aligns with our outlined objectives, ensuring significant progress for university sports.”

Immediate Priorities:

Universiade Preparation and Federation Elections Dr. Afshari identified two immediate goals:

1. Ensuring a high-quality and dignified participation in the upcoming Summer Universiade.

2. Streamlining processes for organizing the federation’s assembly and elections.

Appreciation for Dr. Khodadadi In conclusion, Dr. Afshari expressed heartfelt appreciation for the efforts and contributions of Dr. Khodadadi during his tenure in this role, acknowledging his dedication and leadership.
