Fariba Mohamadi, SSRI Faculty member appointed as member of medical committee of International Paralympic committee.
Medical committee of Paralympic established to provide expert advice on issues related to athletes in extraordinary circumstances who must take certain drugs for therapeutic use. It's function is to provide recommendations on all policies and operational matters related to the medical care of Paralympic athletes, including the review of TUE Applications in accordance with the WADC and International Standard for TUE, and monitoring the implementation of event-related medical care programs. The Committee is comprised of eight members from USA, Russia, South Africa, Canada, Sweden, UK, Greece and Iran. Dr. Fariba Mohammadi is the first and only member from Iran.
