SSRII Marks Imam Ali’s Birth Anniversary and Father’s Day

SSRII celebrated the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) and Father’s Day in a ceremony attended by Dr. Fariba Mohammadi, Acting Head of SSRII, Dr. Hossein Zareian, Deputy for Cultural and Social Affairs, along with faculty members, staff, and managers.

The event was held in SSRII’s conference hall. Dr. Mohammadi opened the gathering with warm congratulations on the auspicious occasions of Rajab and the birth of Imam Ali (AS), addressing all attendees, especially the men present.

She emphasized the timeless significance of Imam Ali’s teachings, stating, “The virtues and wisdom of Imam Ali (AS) transcend time, offering lessons that remain profoundly relevant. His life provides a powerful model for us to follow.”

Highlighting three key attributes of fatherhood, Dr. Mohammadi explained, “First, fathers dedicate themselves entirely to raising and nurturing their children with love. Second, they serve as unwavering pillars of support, always standing as a source of strength. Finally, they demonstrate foresight, tirelessly working to ensure a bright future for their children.”

She also quoted Imam Ali (AS), saying, “Do not impose your own customs upon your children, for they are created for a time different from yours.”

Dr. Mohammadi described this as a reflection of Imam Ali’s deep understanding of the need to prepare future generations for challenges unique to their time. “These qualities are not only essential for fathers but are invaluable traits for everyone, particularly in professional and interpersonal relationships,” she added.

The ceremony included heartfelt reflections from participants, who shared personal experiences and challenges related to fatherhood.

The event concluded with prayers for the departed parents of attendees and wishes for health and longevity for all living parents.
