Extension of Collaboration Agreement Between SSRII and Tehran’s General Directorate of Sports and Youth
Tehran, January 6 — SSRII has extended its collaborative agreement with the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of Tehran Province.
The agreement, originally signed last year, was renewed in a formal ceremony attended by senior officials from both organizations. Dr. Fariba Mohammadi, Acting Director of SSRII, and Dr. Ali Javadi, Director of the General Directorate, signed the extension.
The agreement aims to strengthen academic, research, cultural, and operational ties between the two organizations, aligning with their shared missions and legal mandates.
Key objectives outlined in the renewed memorandum include:
• Enhancing research and study services while leveraging the existing capabilities of both organizations.
• Supporting the development of applied projects tailored to the needs of the Directorate and the Institute.
• Funding master’s and doctoral dissertations aligned with the Directorate’s priorities.
• Designing and delivering specialized short- and long-term training courses as required by the Directorate.
The signing ceremony coincided with the monthly Research Council meeting of the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of Tehran Province.
Notable attendees included Dr. Amirhossein Vaezi, Director of the Strategic Studies and Research Center of the Ministry of Sports and Youth; Dr. Hassan Kalashlu, Deputy Director of the Center; Dr. Mostafa Afshari, Acting Head of NUSFIRI ; Dr. Abbasali Gaeini, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University of Tehran; and Dr. Shahrzad Tahmasebi, Associate Dean of the Faculty.
During the session, Dr. Mohammadi expressed gratitude for the contributions of Ms. Leila Afshar, Secretary of the Council, highlighting her efforts in fostering productive collaborations. This agreement underscores the commitment of both institutions to advancing sports education, research, and development initiatives in the province, contributing to the broader goals of sports and youth empowerment in Iran.
