Representatives of Embassy of Iraq in Tehran Visited SSRI

Dr. Haidar al-Nassar, Director of Administration and Mohammad Bagher Hakim, Director of Public Relations of Iraqi Cultural Counselor in Tehran visited Sport Sciences Research Institute of Iran, SSRI, on September 3^rd 2019.

Iraqi Cultural Counselors met Dr. Ali Sharifnejhad, the president of SSRI, and Dr. Mahdi Hosseinzadeh, director of International Affairs Office at SSRI. Meeting was organized by International Affairs Office in order for developing appropriate frameworks for the initiation of scientific and research co-operation in the field of sports sciences.

In the meeting were discussed and emphasized the development of scientific relations with those of higher ranked Iraqi universities in the field of sports.

• Developing the joint research projects
• Developing guest researcher opportunities for Iraqi students in the field of sport Sciences
• Developing the reciprocal visits between SSRI and the Iraqi universities
• Developing joint workshops, courses, related to sport sciences
• Showcasing the SSRI sport startups at the Iran Permanent Exhibition in Baghdad
• Collaboration on health monitoring of the employees of Iraqi embassy in Tehran and Iraqi society

Besides the meeting, Iraqi cultural consultants visited SSRI laboratory and other research units. Given the education of more than 4,000 Iraqi students in Iran and the first place of Iran in the region in terms of scientific research activities in 2018, the conditions are foreseen for the initiation and development of appropriate collaboration.
