Monark Ergomedic 894E is a digital ergometer. The aim of this device is to evaluate fitness and fatigue in sports and medical rehabilitation. The computer system placed in the device enables the researcher to control the work load. This device can be easily and quickly calibrated. This machine can record cases such as heart rate, speed, power, time, number of pedals per minute, consumed calories, and the traveled distance enabling the user to watch it on the screen. It is also able to be connected to the printer and computer. This device can be used for athletes training programs and to measure maximal aerobic power. Bruce,YMCA, Astrand, Naughton protocols are defined for this device which provide the possibility of determining the maximum oxygen uptake during submaximal and maximal activities. It is also used for anaerobic and aerobic tests such as Wingate which can be easily produced in it.
