In its strategic plan, SSRI pledges to increase research activities, with an aim to place the institute among the top institutes in sport sciences research. Achieving this, not only will the reputation and status of the institute be upheld, but SSRI will proudly fulfill the mandate to further knowledge and contribute to the common good. One of these activities is holding research-based Ph.D. Courses in exercise physiology, sports medicine and sports management since 2012. SSRI also have M.A. students in sports marketing and physical education.

Sabbatical Opportunities & Guest Researchers\Students
Since October 2014, the SSRI has announced that is ready to accept visiting students for short-term (6 months) sabbatical with the aim of encouraging Iranian students as well as foreign students to expand their scientific and research activities.
